A Fun Giveaway and More

social-climbers-beth-dunn-paperback-cover-art

Jessica at the Entertaining House is giving away a copy of Beth Dunn’s spectacular new book Social Climbers.  Head over to her blog ASAP to enter for a chance to win—this book will make a wonderful summer read!

Also, check out Pretty Partridge for a tutorial on how to make the cutest ruffled tank tops on the cheap and in nothing flat!!!

The tank tops are literally $3 at Wal-Mart and the fabric can be a  scrap you have on hand.  These would also be cute for adults. Here is Pinkie modeling one I made her yesterday (I made her three in like a half and hour—minimal effort with a big return--now that’s my kind of sewing!!!)

I also wanted to show y’all my latest score from Goodwill—4 Blue Willow Gold bowls and saucers for $25—and they still had the$200 price tag on them from the antique store next door!!!

Aren’t they to die for?!  I think I will use  them to eat my oatmeal in every morning—can you tell that I am trying oh so hard to make oatmeal more appetizing?!
